BUNINYONG WARD
Cr Ben Taylor was elected as Councillor for the Buninyong ward in October 2024. It is his fourth term on Council having previously served as Councillor from 2008 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2024. He also served as Mayor in 2019/20 and Deputy Mayor in 2011/12.
He has lived in Ballarat for 31 years and loves Ballarat's unique character and its beautiful villages and communities.
Cr Taylor’s focus for the 2024-2028 Council term is on managing the growth of the city while keeping its unique character. He is also focused on current and future community projects in the Buninyong Ward.
Cr Taylor is currently an Executive Officer of the not-for-profit organisation, Highlands Local Learning and Employment Network.
His personal interests and hobbies include trying to play basketball and spending time with his wife and four children.
